Book an Appointment

When booking an appointment please provide your child’s name and date of birth as the contact information (not your own).

Online booking is open for 2 months from today’s date. If you cannot find an appointment time please check back soon, add yourself to the waitlist, or contact our virtual admin for assistance. Appointments are currently available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and occasional Saturdays.

Special Autism Funding Booking Instructions:

Lauren Hershfield (OT) is on the RASP list and her services are eligible for coverage by AFU for children of all ages, including those under 6.

Allie Saks (OT), Zoë Maika (RD), Alessia Vaz (RD), and Elise Fairey (RD) services are only eligible for coverage by AFU for children 6 to 18 years. Family is responsible for paying for services provided for children under 6.

Picky Eating

Nutrition & Growth

We can help with:
- Optimizing kids nutrition - Poor growth or underweight - Nutrient deficiencies - Dietary restrictions or allergies - Vegetarian or vegan diet - Failure to thrive - Overweight - Constipation

Feeding Challenges

We can help with:
- Children who have trouble using utensils or feeding themselves - Struggling with drinking from cups - Overstuffing food in their mouth - Gagging during mealtimes - Difficulty chewing food - Throwing food or other difficulty mealtime behaviours - Challenges staying seated during mealtimes

Elise Fairey (RD) RD

Registered Dietitian & Co-Founder

Elise received her Bachelors of Science in Dietetics from the University of British Columbia. Elise has obtained further training in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding and the Solid Starts Professional curriculum. She has dedicated her career to working with kids and their families both at BC Children’s Hospital and with The Feeding Group. Elise has a special interest in: - Helping parents navigate starting solids - Supporting babies and kids with poor growth - Picky eating in toddlers - Optimizing kids general nutrition

Elise is passionate about establishing good feeding practices in childhood so kids can grow up feeling good about food and their bodies.

Lauren Hershfield (OT) OT

Occupational Therapist & Co-Founder

Lauren earned her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto. She has focused her practice on feeding and swallowing both at BC Children’s Hospital and with The Feeding Group. Lauren has specialized training in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding and pediatric feeding disorders and anxiety. She is also a member of the Dysphagia Research Society. Lauren has a special interest in: - Helping parents navigate the worries of feeding a child with picky eating - Building connections with children through feeding therapy - Sensory systems and picky eating

Lauren enjoys building relationships with parents and children to help implement changes that will improve their day to day lives.

Lauren is on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP) list and her services are eligible for coverage by AFU for children of all ages, including those under 6.

Registered Dietitian

Zoe received her Bachelors of Science in Dietetics from the University of British Columbia. She works with children and their families at BC Children’s Hospital and with The Feeding Group. Zoe has a special interest in:

  • Supporting babies and kids with poor growth
  • Helping parents navigate starting solids
  • Optimizing kids general nutrition

Zoe enjoys helping families develop healthy, sustainable feeding practices while supporting kids to build a positive relationship with food and their bodies.

Allie has a special interest in: - Supporting babies struggling with solids - Picky eating in toddlers - Responsive feeding and difficult mealtime behaviours

She works with children and their families at BC Children’s Hospital and with The Feeding Group. Alessia has a special interest in: - Optimizing nutrition for kids with diet restrictions - Vegetarian and vegan nutrition for kids - Ensuring optimal nutrition for kids with allergies
